A Reiki session lasts 1 hour on average. It is not a massage.
The practitioner will first have a conversation with the person to determine the context of the
visit. Then, lying down while still dressed, the person relaxes on the treatment table while the
practitioner places her hands on the energy points of the body to allow release of blocked
energy. Sometimes the practitioner touches the physical body, sometimes not. The session
ends with a period of rest and talk.
